Identify weed please

Sorry, I can't download a piccy - my laptop I think - or me!! I have a weed I can't get rid of. The leaves look very like mint, they grow upright, not bushy in any way, seems like individual "sticky up bits". Underground they have very brittle thickish rhizomes which travel a fair difference. Break it, and another appears. Weed killer doesn't seem to bother it. I'll tomorrow to download, have done it before, so not certain what's wrong!

any smell to it at all? How tall? any flowers appearing?

No smell, I dig them out as I see them, so don't know how tall, the tallest I've seen it is about 9 inches, dead straight, and no side shoots ever, never flowers....................
