is raised beds are good for varieties of fruits and vegetebles

Hello, It's my first time planting a garden and I have a nice big back yard I intend to utilize with raised garden beds. One of the best spots for sunshine is further out back along our fence; Is this something I need to worry about and do you have any recommendations? I have seen an advertisement of gardening experts in the backyard (http://inthebackyard.ca/)from a magazine. They claim that raised beds are good for most of the varieties of fruits and vegetables. Is it true? Please give me a reply as soon as possible.

Hello Helen. Provided they are given the same treatment as the rest of your garden in terms of water and fertiliser they are absolutely fine.
