Moth id please.

Hi can anyone ID this beautiful large moth it was found sunday morning on our south facing conservatory door. As it was forecast to be very hot I moved it to one of the lower shaded branches of a magnolia shrub where it stayed until dusk. I think as it looked to have a wingspan of approx 3 inches it may be one of the Hawk moths but Which one??
at first glance it looks like dead leaves
camouflage? Nature at it's best.

Poplar Hawkmoth, lovely
Thank you very much again for the ID Nutcutlet, yes it was very lovely and I was totally amazed that it was so well camouflaged Looking like dead leaves when on the branch.
I love hawkmoths, I like the way they cling on to a finger for close examination
How amazing, I don't think I've seen that many different moths in my garden, but then again they're probably just well disguised aha
Yes that is how I managed to move it out of the direct sunlight.
they are well camouflaged jabsy, I rarely see any unless we run a moth trap.
