Help!!

imageimageCan some please help me identify what this plant is please? I bought a black bamboo plant last year, but 3 weeks ago I noticed some shoots popping up. I don't believe it is black bamboo and its growing extremely fast. Just need some advice on how to care for it or attempt to separate it. Thank you in advance.

    Hi lauradora. I think it is a new shoot from your bamboo. I have black bamboo but much bigger than yours. It will soon outgrow that little pot. Mine is now up to my bedroom window so I guess thats about 15 feet in old money image

    Thank you everyone. i wasn't sure as it didn't look like the other when I purchased it. I'll shall also replant ladybird4. I didn't realize it could grow that big ?

    The great thing is that it doesn't spread like some of the smaller varieties do. I love it.
