a type of poppy
and cropped up as a weed that I missed (thankfully as it's pretty).
top one is an opium poppy, paeoniflora or double type.
Second might be an allium?
Is the second one attached to the leaves that go in a circle round the stalk?
If so, Phuopsis stylosa, bees love it
Nutcutlet, does it have a weird smell, like foxy or garlicky. I may have it at one time but never knew the name.
yes, very strong Fritillary. I think it's the leaves rather than the flowers
I think the star shaped foliage is attached to the thing of interest. I'd just clipped a large privet that it is living under so there are privet'ey clippings in the picture, sorry for the confusion.
yep, Phuopsis stylosa
Yes, I have it. Very pretty but a bit of a thug when it gets going. I dig lots out every year.
