And the leaves are more silvery, I'm sorry you have been caught out by a store. I don't go to your German choice and frequently buy from Homebase, who seem OK to me, I realise they are probably more expensive?
I just love to browse around various garden centres, don't necessarily buy anything, just drinking in colour and scent and form
That was my first and last plant purchase from there. Had no leaves at time of purchase but when they started to grow I should have known.
On the plus side I had never heard of saponaria so at least I have extended my plant knowledge and it fits with my cottagey garden colour scheme of whites, pinks and purples☺
Anyone know what this is? Was sold as sea holly but I am starting to doubt that!

Nor do I unless it's a new variety. Looks more like tumbling ted (saponaria) to me. A lovely plant but not a sea holly

Clarington I bought it from a certain German discount supermarket chain from which I will not be buying plants in future.
We live and learn.

I bought 6 and gave 3 to my sis so I have to break the bad news to her lol.
I ask because I brought some root from Tesco and I'm not sure that's sea holly either!!
