Waterfall Help!

As a May Bank Holiday project I decided to build a small & long waterfall at the side of my house. I dug out the base, lined it with sand and then I've used pond liner. I've then come to decorate it and this is where the issues started... I can't cover the pond liner!

I've tried and tried, but I can't cover it up effectively. I'd love to know if anyone has tried anything similar before, and how they managed to finish it off.

Here's a picture which hopefully indicates the issue I'm having.

Looks perfectly good to me!  Is it the flow of water that's moving them? Why not place the larger stones along the course of the lining as they're much heavier, or use them simply to hide the lining from view.

Thanks Bob! I'm planning on going out and buying more of the large stones today which will hopefully help. The issue is on the vertical drops too as the liner is visible and I can't find a natural way of covering it up.

Why not find a glue gun and stick a few rocks together to create a feature that stays put and covers the bald patches?
