Please can anyone identify this shrub?
My first thought was Amsonia tabernaemontana but that's not a shrub.
Is this really a shrub?
I think you're right. I've only read about this one but never found it to buy.
I shall have to try seed. Another one for my shopping list.

Thank you all for your help. The plant was seen at Eaton Hall gardens and I wrongly assumed it was a shrub. In retrospect, I realise it is an herbaceous perennial!
It can be hard to tell if you can't poke about in them.
Those are some heavy duty plant supports!
