What am I doing wrong with my lawn?!
I'm hoping someone can give me a few pointers.... I had this at my last house, different lawn mower and tried all the basics to keep a healthy lawn but I'm having the same problem here.
I cut it about once a week but it always just looks like it has dry yellow patches throughout. As I say I had this with the last lawn on my old house and no amount of evergreen and watering would do it any good.
Can anyone help as to what I might be or any secrets to a lovely green green lawn?
Many thanks!

i would say blades too low for this time of year and blades not sharp enough, raise the blades up for now and give them a good sharpen
My rear lawn looked like yours last year so to renovate it I invested in a flymo just to cut it added
to this I applied two coatings of weed and feed and now it looks great.
My other two lawns I use a roller blade heavy petrol and due to the fact these two lawns are forty
years old now it makes a fine job.
Could it be poor drainage?
Our lawn was laid on quite heavily compacted soil (when we were having our building works done, the digger was to and fro over it)
Despite it being rotavated before turfing- it still got yellow patches from time to time.
As it is my OH's Pride and Joy- he invested in a scarifier and rake and does not cut it too low.
You could try driving a fork into the yellow patches to see if it helps.
Good luck!
