Decided I would chuck the Gladioli bulbs(corms, whatever) that I took up last year, thinking that planting them was a bad idea because they don't last long, they're not really my type of thing and they're high maintenance.
Couldn't do it. I just can't kill anything so I thought I'll just put them out where I have a space and let them fend for themselves.
They're coming up! Not sure if I'm pleased or not? I ain't overwintering them again though, no I'm not, don't make me!
my cosmos seeds decided i wasn't growing them this year!! sowed a whole tray full 6 sprouted, 2 flopped over, the last four have frozen in time with just the two seedling leaves (been like that for weeks) put them outside in coldframe, slugs got two, so left with 2 in growth limbo, last year i had loads
Petunias because the slugs and the rain spoil them and crocus - they don't like the winter rains, so I planted more daffodils, snowdrops & tulips instead which give a much better display for us.

Marestail, but do you think it will take the hint?
Anemone Wild Swan as I found it melting into a black sludge this morning
No Petunia's for me too B3, bought some as plugs last year, very pretty but the dead heading was too much faffing for me.
Wish I could say no more dandelion's but mother nature has other ideas.
It's quite liberating isn't it kitty?
For droopy hangy down things, I'm going for those dwarf nasturtiums with the exotic name - can't remember what they're called.

That's what I do and the bu$$ers usually survive. If they do, I recokon they deseve a pardon and let them get on with it.

You should be able to get a tray in the gc now. It would be a shame to do without
