rabbits
Everything I'm planting out is been decimated by rabbits - even plants they;re supposed to dislike, Does anyone have any ideas for protecting individual plants or for making bell cloches? Thanks

Use chicken wire cloches. They seem to work quite well in my garden. I also set up a frame of bamboo and netting which was quite effective until the plants were strong enough to survive.
Thank you - I'll try to make some cloches tomorrow!
I had problems with rabbits eating my newly planted expensive roses last year so got OH to make a number of cylindrical cages from some weld mesh we happened to have over. They have been very effective and are good because they are rigid and easy to move around to whatever plant the rabbits have taken a fancy to.
Yes, it's really disheartening to see your lovely plants chewed to the base. I'm going to make some cloches today, then I'll be able to cloche as I plant. Fingers crossed!
