Seed heads in new lawn
We're living in a new build house and turf was laid in the garden.
We noticed come Spring a lot of seed heads appeared in our grass and from what we could make out they would disappear about a month later from reading about them.
The problem is they haven't disappeared. We have mown the lawn on the highest setting a couple of times so we're unsure if that's made things worse or not.
I enclose a photo to show what we have and we would be grateful for any suggestions to get rid of them before we tackle the developer. Many thanks.

Grass flowers and seeds as do most plants - nothing that can be done about that. The seed heads can be mown off. Grass needs mowing at least once a week at this time of year - I would lower the cutting blade a bit - not too low - medium will be fine.

Thanks DovefromAbove. Sorry apparently it's on a medium setting and it's already been mown a few times, at the moment once a week. The problem just seems to be getting worse and the neighbours lawn sown around the same time seems to be fine.
So you reckon that we just need to wait a bit longer?
It's the time of year when grass flowers and seeds (think of hay meadows and hay-making time).
Just keep mowing

Thanks. We quite literally have the meadow whereas our neighbours have a lawn.
