It is quite hard to name roses as so many breeders produce similar types and online colours can be different depending on what is being used to view your picture.. If this is a hybrid tea it could be Pink Favourite, if it is an English rose it could be Warwick Castle.and if it is a floribunda it could be Angel Face. Then you have the damasks, the China, the tea, the Bourbons, the centifolias and the Noisettes. Uh oh, brain has gone into melt down mode. image .

Ladybird - I see what you mean - this rose could be anyone of those that you have mentioned.  Whatever it is - as the camellia flowers are dying off the roses & lavender are taking over centre stage - thanks for having a go at naming this lovely flower.

  • If you wish a rose identified, you must show more than the bloom itself. We also need to see the leaves fairly close up, the stipules, prickles (if any), the sepals, the general shape and habit of the bush--and then we can begin identifying. This may take several photos.

  • I will bear that in mind next time I ask for a rose to be identified schrammd - this plant is no longer in flower and the leaves are pretty worn out too - perhaps next Spring (if I remember) I will take more detailed pictures and ask again.
