Whew!!!!!
Saw " femspot" and thought what can of worms was about to be opened.
The cucumbers look like works in progress, they will grow. The flower will fade, may or may not drop off, and then the cucumbers will swell. You are feeding correctly. The leaves may need some shade, they look scorched.
Thanks Fidgetbones for your advice
i have moved both plants to the floor now so are not in the direct sunlight
wondering if need potting on as the size of the plant now outweighs the pot and wondering if it's root-bound.
It's probably going to be difficult to repot. I grow cucumber in florists buckets with plenty of holes in the bottom . Plant the plant in the middle on a mound so that if you water from the top, it does not puddle around the stem. Wet around the stem causes rot and collapse of the plant. The compost has to be kept moist though, so it is a fine balance.
How big is your pot?
Maybe you could stand a smaller pot onto a larger pot of compost, the roots will go through the bottom and you can keep the bottom pot wetter.
