Too late to Chelsea Chop when buds appear?
Hi all,
I have some shasta daisies and they are a tall variety and usually flop when they get too tall. So I usually cut them back to keep them short however I've just gone to do it now and there are flower buds forming! They don't usually form this early in the year but the buds are only very tiny.
So is it too late to cut them back now they have buds forming?
Thanks

Thanks Verdun,
My worry was that if I cut it back now then somehow it wouldn't flower later in the summer. But I think I will go ahead and do it as each year after a bit of rain the whole thing just collapses and looks terrible. Plus I like more flowers that cutting it back eventually gives
