Hi! i found this plant last year after a heavy storm. When i found it it was a plain green little shrub. Now, as you can see, is full of flowers. What kind of plant is this and does it need any special care? Thx in advance!
Just "stolen" a cutting from my friend's garden as payment for watering it whilst she was away. Planning on eventually planting it in a South West location on the corner of the house where it will get warmth back from the bricks. Currently this space is occupied by hydrangeas but they look crummy in winter.

Ceanothus. Some are hardy, others need a little protection, depending on the variety.
Stunning, common name Califonian Lilac. Prune them lightly if shoots get leggy.
This is my ceanothus. Plant it out, they're wonderful.
