lawn weeds
I have what I think is a type of geranium in my lawns which I cannot get rid of even after using a weedkiller year after year.
Canyou suggest a lawn weedkiller stronger than Verdone which does'nt seem to work ?
Regards
Michael

Hi Michael. Any chance of uploading a picture. I cannot think of any geranium that would survive in a regularly mown lawn.
Could it be creeping buttercup?

Bingo pp. Thats the one. Michael, it would be easier to manually remove the plants when you spot them. Like strawberries they spread by runners called stolons as mowing removes the flowers and therefore the seeds.
Tee hee pp. Just realised you had uploaded that pic but hopefully Michael will recognise the plant!
They're a £$%^&& nuisance!
Hear hear!
I try to fish out the branches to get to the main stem then prise it out like a dandy lion to get the whole root yes they are a #$%^&& nuisance
Hello Ladybird4
Re the weeds in my lawn:
No they are not buttercups , they have'nt yellow flowers they are pink! Just like little geraniums in the grass.After using Verdone last spring I thought they were dead and gone. Silly me ,they came back in the autumn, more than ever.This is the third year running.They are everywhere so its not a case of digging them out one by one, there are far too many of them.
I would appreciate if anybody could give my the name of a stronger lawn weedkiller than Verdone.
Regards
Michael.
I wonder if anyone has a reply to my lawn problem of a few days ago about a weed that looks like geranium and has pink flowers.In spite of using a weedkiller (Vendone) the weed returns in the autumn, worse than ever. Too many to dig out.
