Acer Palmatum Wilting Leaves

Hi, im relatively new to gardening so am considered a novice, I bought an Acer Palmatum last year, and once the leaves have come out this year, they seem to be wilted and not looking very happy!  I thought maybe it was too wet but after googling it I am thinking maybe it is something different, maybe a fungus?  Any ideas anyone?  Photos uploaded!
