Caterpillars

I went out tonight at dusk with a torch to find out what was devastating my phlox, stripping any new leaves it put out. To my horror I found the plant covered in dozens of these dull brown caterpillars all munching away. So I spent the next hour euthanising 'em with a pair of scissors. I had heard the pest problem might be severe this Summer because of the mild Winter but this was ridiculous.
