Edging lawn
Hi there,
I've just bought some featherboard to edge my lawn with as I was advised to cut and edge around it all with some gravel to help drainage.
I was originally going to make it slightly higher so it lips above the grass so I have a straight edge to cut a long before placing gravel on the other side, however my dad has just advised me I should go lower than the grass.
What's the general recommendation?

LG the L asked a similar question when she was laying a lawn last year but I can't remember what the concensus was.

Have a look here. Lots of fors and againsts for both options.
Ok thanks, better start cutting the wood in half
Only worry I had with lower was catching gravel in the mower but I guess there is still the thickness of the wood which I think is about 11mm and can go around the edges with my shears
