No Bees?

I know we've had several late frosts and some crazy weather lately, but this time last year my Ceanothus was literally buzzing with bee activity.

So far this spring all I've seen is one dragonfly and a few ladybirds :(

Even the Lily bugs haven't been around much.

Can't help but feel a little concerned :(

You could be right MrJ. The rape is going full tilt. The verges around here are yellow rivers of dandelions and the bees and other buzzy things (clearly entymologist leanings here Ladybird image NOT) are having a great time.

Seen loads of Bumbles and the Solitary Bees have turned up as per every year.

The Solitary's nest box is being used, with 3 bamboo cells already sealed up with mud.

Quite a few honey bees in my pond swamp today. It seems to have dehydrated to such a consistency it can be walked on as well as drankimage

Also saw first wasp today, not many about last yearimage
