Any ideas?

OH has said he will not be using a plot I thought was "spoken for"  it had potatoes in it last year, isn't seen from rest of the garden but in sunny position

i am too late for seeds but thought cutting flowers would be good,  i will have to go to GC and get plugs but  any ideas as to what will grow fast and prolific welcome please

    Cosmos do very well in the sun and they're lovely cutting flowers

    There is still time to put gladioli bulbs in. I planted my last at the beginning of June last year.

    How about sweet peas? You could make some teepees or a simple A frame with bamboo canes and pea netting.

    Zinnias grow quickly and have long straight stems for vases.

    I've grown ten week stocks in the past for the scent.

    I'm sure there's a thread about a cutting garden on here somewhere, maybe have a look there to see what others are growing for more ideas.
