Viburnum tinus help

haddyhaddy Posts: 4

Hi there! We planted a viburnum tinus shrub in March and this is how it looks currently.

Throughout the spring it bloomed and looked quite healthy, until about a month ago, when leaves started drying out and falling off. Is it dead or dying? I'm not sure what I did wrong.

It looks as if the shrub was quite large when you planted it,was it transplanted from somwhere else?

I would keep it well watered as the roots may not have spread out too far yet.

I would also trim off some of the dead bits and the spent blooms. You still seem to have a good bit of green leaves.

It may have put its all into flowering and just got a bit stressed out!

They seem to be pretty resilient plants and you could always cut it back a bit harder later on.
