could someone help me with my chilli plants? One appears to have been eaten and the other has black leaves - any ideas what I'm doing wrong??

thanks so much

I may be wrong but I associate black leaves with frost damage. Do they live outside permanently?

Chillies need warmth and even though its been sunny I will be keeping mine in the greenhouse.

Regarding the holes, check the undersides of the leaves for caterpillars or other critters. I can't zoom for a closer look on this new forum layout, sorry.

I see you have eggshells down to deter slugs. If they are the culprits you may see silvery marks where they've been.

Brilliant thank you - I put them out about 2 weeks ago but maybe i was too early. Any way I can save them?

Keep them warm.  Feed and water as needed and put down some organic slug pellets.

We had a frost a week or two ago. Chillis really do not like it below 10C, 4C means curtains. The brown on the first one might be sun scold.
