When to take cuttings from Hydrangeas
Hi, I just have one Hydrangea, which is in a large pot and has been there for many years, and it has always flowered and looked good, but now I would like to take a cutting and I am not sure if now is the right time to do this, so that is my query, to do it now or later in the year, say in autumn? Hope you can advise me on this. I do have success with cuttings but I have not taken any from my Hydrangea, so I hope it is possible, sometime this year.
Cheers for now,

Hydrangea cuttings are easy Elizabeth. You can take softwood, semi-hardwood or hardwood cuttings. Personally I like softwood cuttings for hydrangea, so as soon as you have enough new growth go for it. I do use hormone rooting powder for them.
