Dahlia cuttings

How long can i go on taking Dahlia cuttings? I still have plenty of material but want to give the plants time to establish.

Also what the maximum size of a cutting some stems I have are around 12 inches.

Do you think I could just split a large tuber grouping in half with shoots on both and plant separately?

You can go on taking cuttings until stems star to become hollow.

Tubers can be divided as you describe, although I would not do this, when the plants are growing strongly. I think it is best done, when you can just see "eyes", that will become the new shoots.

I am sure some will disagree.
