Coreopsis moonbeam

I want to repot my coreopsis moonbeam as it is about 3years old and the soil is tired.

Should I root prune or try to keep the root ball intact?

Is dividing it up an option?

    Thanks Verdun. Will do  when I've got over my liquid lunch and divide when they've finished in the autumn.
