The sun is certainly bringing on my Tulips, such beautiful colours, same tulips but different patterns of the red inside.

...such a dazzling colour....reminds me of a Rio carnival dancer... do you know the name please? I might like to get some...

Hi Marlorena I am not quite sure but I think they were called viridiflora hybrids. Due to the fact that they come in the different colours.

Marlorena, there is actually a tulip called Rio Carnival, a red and white single but Carnival de Nice goes one better and is double - very flamboyant!

Thank you aym280, I have about 10 of them growing in an oblong trough. Each one when it opens has a different display of the red. The last picture is like someone has painted it inside with a paint brush. I cannot wait to see what the patterns are like when the other ones open up.

The above is a picture of another tulip that has opened up like a rose, so beautiful. image
