Have discovered mildew affecting Aquilegia leaves. Newly planted this year in my woodland corner. Other plants (fern, hostas, hellibores) in vicinity not affected. Cut off all the leaves? I've left it go to seed.

Mine have done the same Tim, I've cut them down to the ground.
Mine too. I think it's more likely when they get a bit too dry.
Mine too, is it best to cut them all back?
It happens to me every year, I pack a lot into my borders. I cut them right back as well and the new growth is healthier.
New plants ..foliage growth great .but no flowers ..i think they are too damp ...moving them to front garden for more sun ......I live in hope !
Flowers finished ages ago, it's time to sow seeds for next years plants.
If yours were newly planted this year then just cut foliage down and they will bloom next Spring/early Summer.
I have them in both sun and shade, they are not fussy.
One of my cut down aquilegias has decided to start flowering again now, very strange.
Same here Jo, I wish it was the dark red velvety one that I've been trying to encourage
