acacia armata

Flowers are now nearly all gone ,as expected, but the lower leaves are drying up and dropping off. It has been kept reasonably cool and moist. Am I doing something wrong or will the leaves regrow. Even if it is deciduous it's too early for normal leaf drop

Where are you situated irene26? Are you growing the acacia indoors or out? It is too cold here for this particular plant.

Hello Ladybird4 - Thank you for your response. It's indoors at the moment and won't go outside until th summer. I am in Bedfordshire and we get a lot of wind off the Downs so have to be very careful with anything on the tender side

One reason for leaf drop indoors can be central heating. The leaves should regrow as acacia are fairly tough plants in warmer climates. Avoid having it too close to a radiator. If thats not the case, make sure it is warm enough with being over heated.
