Sweetpea leaves turning purple/red

Hello

I planted sweetpeas out last weekend after hardening off. A few of the plants leaves have started to turn a purple/red colour, why is this? Is it a fungus?

It might be the cold weather we've had.

    In London. Keen but lazy.

I don't think it is anything fungal, I would put it down to the weather. if they begin to look like they are dying then try moving them back into a warmer location.

But I think they should be fine and that it wont have a negative affect on the plants!

    Hope this helps a little.

I don't grow sweetpeas but I've seen other plants take on a purplish hue when the weather is too cold for them

    In the sticks near Peterborough
  • Perfectly normal, they'll be fine.
