Vine Weevil Grubs

I was refreshing the compost from some of last year's containers and found a few had the dreaded vine weevil grubs. Any ideas on what I should do with the old compost?

Spread it out on a tarpaulin or similar for a couple of days. The birds will soon take any grubs to feed their nestlings.

Thanks, will spread out on an old pond liner. I use thick soled shoes for any adults.
