I am new to gardening as this is my first garden I have to take care of - can anybody tell me what this plant is called? or is it a weed? I have quite a bit that has grow through the slate pieces in the front garden.

    It's a sedum - don't know which one exactly as there are hundreds of varieties, but it isn't a weed. It will have flowers when it gets a bit bigger. It likes alpine type situations, gritty and sunny and well-drained.
