Mallows year 2

Hi all,

I put some mallows in last year and their growth was great. However, I do not know if they are growing back through the seeds as I do not know what the seedlings look like. Thus I am unsure if my border is full of weeds or mallows!

I cut back last year's growth and they were hollow so I assume they do not grow back.

Can anyone tell me what to expect or direct me to pictures or advice?

    Are we talking musk mallow? If we are Google musk mallow, some pics of leaves there.
