Plant & Tree ID please

in Plants
As I'm a total garden dimwit, I could do with some help ID'ing these two things please in my inherited garden!
The tree....
.. and this nasty spiky shrub thing in front of the euonymous, which hurts me if I get too close to it! (I wanted to get rid, my H likes it)
Thank you

Not sure why all the pics are sideways, sorry!
The tree looks like Amelanchier - A deciduous tree that has pinkish coloured leaves right now, with white flowers and then lovely autumn colour.
The second plant looks like a Bottle Brush plant which will have fluffy red flowers resembling a bottle brush later in the year. I think it is a native of New Zealand.
Both are very nice plants, so I wouldn't be in a hurry to get rid of either until you have seen how they perform. If the bottle brush plant is in the way you could always try to move it or put it in a large pot if necessary.
Thanks Rosa
I love the tree, that's not going anywhere! I've just moved the other one to somewhere a bit more out of the way and less 'poke me in the back' every time I go near it...
The top tree is an amelanchier - as said by RG2 and the second picture shows a magnolia and I agree again with RG2 for the third and fourth pictures - a bottle brush plant.
Ooops sorry. Just spotted that the second picture is a close up of the amelanchier - d'oh!
Thanks Ladybird4 -
the second picture is a close up of the amelanchier in blossom right now.
Post crossed! No worries - I didn't even know what it was!
The little berries that follow the flowers are much loved by the birds in my garden.
