Tree advice!

bighevsbighevs Posts: 22
Hi, a friend has just given me these small trees. He didn't know what they were and the main stems have all been cut. Are any worth saving? And if yes, how to i prube them to salvage them? Sorry just trying to upload the photos! Many thanks Heather

Most of them look like plum or damson or something in that group of plants. The one with the green plastic is a silver birch.

Just bung them in the ground but choose a wild area because they are going to grow into trees. The plum types will also probably spread by suckers and might end up in other parts of the garden.

I agree with the Silver Birch ID and Pansy is probably right about the plums / damsons.  In the bag with the red stripe, the right one could be a cherry. Get them in the ground quickly and keep them watered.

Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.
