Training plants up tile hung house

Does anybody know how I can attach wire supports for my ceanothus plant which is growing up my house wall? It's fine obviously on the brick work but how on earth do I attach wires to tiles? Any clever ideas greatly appreciated!

    Hi Carina image

I think I'd put some posts in and fix either wooden trellis, netting or wires to them.  I wouldn't fix supports to a tile-clad wall.

Plants are heavy when wet, and also exert a lot of pressure when buffeted by wind and hanging tiles are decorative, not structural.

    Hi Carina

depending on what is climbing watch what you allow to climb as the growth can get under the tiles and cause you more problems than you need.

Being in the building game I have seen many a vertical tile raised where damp and damage has been caused by lovely looking climbers up houses. They also alow nesting of unwanted such as wasps which can get into the fabrication of the house

It may also impact on your house insurance if you ever have a claim so if it was me i would forget it other that putting up framing not atached to the house as suggested by Dove

    Happy gardening
