Tree identification

Hi all

Just wondering if you can id this tree for me. It's growing next to my boundary and can be a right pain when all the seed pods fall off and the winds blowing in the wrong direction.

Thanks

That's an ash. I'd disappear into an ash wood if I didn't keep weeding them out

    Thanks nutcutlet.

I wasn't aware it was an ash.

They are a right pain in the ****. Seedings everywhere. Even growing in my leaf mould bags.

    Thanks

  • yes, afraid so Disponded--but it will probably come down with ash blight sooner or later so you could regard it as a dinosaur...They are rather lovely trees.

Lovely trees, and important in the ancient folklore of this country.  We've had to have one of ours felled ... we hope the other survives.
