I have a large trough lined with astro turf

I had a problem finding a liner big enough for my trough and some of my hanging baskets,so I had some astro turf off cuts so  I used that and its fantastic, all summer long nice and green now I have my spring flowers in it and still bright green and also it has drainage, so problem solved

That's a good idea, one year i lined my baskets with a bath towel, it did degrade but it worked now I just line them with compost bag it eventually gets covered with the plants so no worries
