Cats and plants

I have been the mad gardener today potting up plug plants -55 in total!?!

I was talking earlier on a thread about plug plants that I have some delphiniums. I think they are poisonous to people - similiar to digitalis? But are delphiniuma poisonous to cats? My cat has been nibbling my sweet peas and attacked a cucumber already.

If you want to frighten yourself silly take a look at this list

Might as well pave over the whole garden.
Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.

  • I've had delphiniums, foxgloves, aconitums, lilies and cats/dogs for years with no problems.

My cats are not interested in plants, only long grass and catmint. I avoid lilies though as they are deadly and also I don't like lilies.

  • Wow! Ok! I will note the possibly fatal ones to place strategically around the garden to keep the neighbourhood cats from doing their business in my flower beds, I may take a look at the list Pansyface instead of reading a horror science fiction paperback.

Thank you scroggin, I will take note and not leave the potted up plants around at night where my cat can get at them.

Didnt I say that my cat is a housecat? So I am only talking about the plug plants I have potted up and put on my windowsills. As for the garden it will be delphiniums and all sorts - not worried about the prowling cats.

All really great advice thank you???
