Pruning large buddleia?
Hi all, I currently rent a property in which a rather large buddleia exists, it currently is very annoying in size due to it taking up a large area at the end of the garden whilst also blocking access to the shed - Now I remember reading that they can be trimmed back a lot in spring but I'm wondering how far can I trim mine back to ensure it isn't killed?

Cut back to a strong framework down low
It'll bounce back quickly
But don't cut below the lowest buds
You can take loads off that one
In the sticks near Peterborough
Someone pruned a camellia in my garden down to below buds , looks a right mess, but I'm slowly getting some shape back.
Buddleia is much faster growing though. You'd need to massacre it to stop it!
Awesome, thanks a lot all - Now I've gotta go buy some tools!
