Dicentra (bleeding heart)

Kitty 2Kitty 2 Posts: 5,150

I'm sure mine had more growth by this time last year. There is a tiny bit of growth, it's just in front of the broken plant label I stuck in to try and point it out.

It's an established plant I've had for a few years that lives in the shade of a variegated weigela in a sw facing border. I live in the north west of england.

Should it be bigger by now, or am I confused with the timings?

I haven't got any up, not one single sprout. I am worried the fencing guy accidentally dug them up to put the posts in image

Mine is just poking through - only in the last few days though.  I'm in East Anglia and although the bed gets plenty of sun it's very exposed to cold winds.
