Moving blackcurrants

I have 3 heritage blackcurrant bushes which have given loads of fruit over the past 4 years. But I planted them too close and I need to move one. I want to give it to a keen gardener friend with an allotment but have I left it too late to do this this year?
Be grateful for any help or advice.

You can Beverly, they may well have no fruit, I'd dig up, cut back, replant looking to get fruit for next year, and keep them well watered, a feed of fish blood and bone, and let them establish.
