Buying plants on the spur of f the moment

in Plants
I went to a GC today just to basically look at some garden tool that were on offer. I did not buy any garden tools but brought instead a Clematis Justa. The problem is I do not have a place for it in my garden. It was obviously an impulse buy but with no real plan on where it will go As anybody else done this and what did you replace to be able to plant the impulse buy

Steve, if it makes you feel any better, less guilty or whatever, at the last count I had 11 clematis still in pots looking for homes.
It can go in a big pot with some canes or an obelisk Steve...that's what you were planning all along isn't it?....

I never impulse buy....
well, not often...
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
That makes my one seem not so bad. I thinks it because I can't resist a clematis. I've no doubt that there are a lot of people who have the same addiction ????
me , for one.
In the words of Oscar Wilde:
" I can resist everything, except temptation"
Thanks, that's just what I was thinking as it does not grow that big and a pit could "save the day"
"Thick finger syndrome"
Steve: I used to do this rather more than was good for my purse or my garden. These days I garden shop with a particular plant in mind and it works......apart from the bargain or reduced sections......then temptation takes over. Sometimes I find a place for these bargains; other times they languish and I end up not knowing where to put them.
So on the whole I don't impulse buy these days because what interests me most is garden design and for that particular plantings, which are carefully thought out, are what is needed...........perhaps this comes with age.
I never , ever buy on impulse: unless I see something I like.
