Any idea what this plant is?
Cercis siliquastrum, Judas tree.
Spot on nut
Lovely trees......hardy enough in the SW UK.
They grow in East Anglia as well, I know some mature ones.
I didn't realise they liked East Anglia too Nut............dry and sunny enough I suppose when I think about it.
That'll be another "Myth" gone by the board then
Yes, they're fine here in Cambridge. Thinking of having a go Prof?
I didn't know that myth Philippa. There was a lovely mature specimen in Essex where i used to work.
Mine is only about 4 years from seed so a little way to go yet
Thanks all. Now I know that they seem OK in the UK then I think I could be tempted
Will grow in a sunny spot here in N.W England so long as in well drained soil.
