    They grow in East Anglia as well, I know some mature ones. 

  • I didn't realise they liked East Anglia too Nut............dry and sunny enough I suppose when I think about it.

    I didn't know that myth Philippa. There was a lovely mature specimen in Essex where i used to work.

    Mine is only about 4 years from seed so a little way to go yetimage

    Thanks all.  Now I know that they seem OK in the UK then I think I could be tempted image

    Will grow in a sunny spot here in N.W England so long as in well drained soil.
