Box tree caterpillar infestation
We have a large number of very old box hedges (probably 100 to 150 years old). Last autumn, about October/November time, I noticed the signs of box tree caterpillar attack on a couple of the bushes. I have been told here that a copper spray is effective but can find no information on the internet to suggest it works against box tree caterpillar. Can anyone assist?

Go to the RHS website and search box tree caterpillar Delia. The insecticides recommended for treatment are there. The RHS wants to know about sightings as well. From what I've seen and read the best !method is removal by hand then spray.
