Cutting back a Chusan Palm / Windmill Palm
Hi all,
I'm a bit of a garden newbie, and in need of cutting back my Chusan Palm.
It's currently approx 20ft tall. Would I be able to cut this back at the trunk to approx half it's size. I've been looking on various websites and am getting some conflicting information.
The last thing I would want to do is destroy such a stunning specimen.
Many thanks in Advance

Well I'd go with RHS and say you can't prune them. Enjoy the specimen. You may temp someone into buying it from you and get them to remove it if it needs to go. I don't know of any palm you can prune other than taking off the dead leaves.
Thanks Dave. Yes, I'll leave it be.
