what to feed bubs

Good evening all.

i have read that it is a good idea to feed spring bulbs before they die back.

if I dilute some tomato feed, would this be suitable?

Thank you in anticipation.

Anything would be fine, but as long as you let them die back naturally I wouldnt worry too much.

I find a fresh layer of compost in spring does the trick

I give them a good sprinkling of Fish, Blood and Bone when I feed the herbaceous borders in the spring. image

Something to dig in as Dove says, there's not a lot of point in putting anything liquid on the garden or in tubs for the long run,  it will wash through as soon as it rains.

  • Thankyou everyone.

of course, it makes sense to dig in.

I ill do so, when rain reduces. the ground is pretty saturated following all the rain, here in Manchester.

Fish, blood and bone is good! great to put under young trees to to start them off - as long as the roots are not touching it...image
