Blackened tips of rose leaves

A few of my roses, as they've come into leaf, have got the tips of their leaves either blackened or brown - just the edges or tips. The closest explanation I've found is scorch from over fertilizing, but I haven't fertilized them yet, just mulched. Are they just a bit sorry for themselves after the wet winter or is this something I should be worried about? Thank you for any advice!
