Digitalis(Foxglove) Companion plant?

JerryBoneJerryBone Posts: 91

Hi everyone,

I have recently purchased some Digitalis seeds for my garden which I intend on growing and planting in part of my garden which is almost meadow like, there is a cherry tree there and I want some simple white flowers to compliment that.

I have chosen so far Digitalis, A variety of grass with beautiful seed heads (I cant remember the name) and I would love any recommendations?

The colour of flowers id like is White, and maybe a few accents of blue, purple or pink, but not overly bright.

I'd go for Silene latifolia - the White Campion and Hesperis matronalis alba, the white Sweet Rocket.

Both native plants, attractive to moths and night-flying insects, and the Sweet Rocket has a wonderful evening fragrance.

how about some pale cream escholtzia , Californian Poppies, for a bit of contrast . Bees love them and they self seed.
